Jo was very hospitable and her and the property management were very responsive and helpful throughout checkin. The property has so much character and gives you a feel for what the island truly has to offer.

We had a great time staying at Pura Vida. The cottage was clean and the location is pretty and secluded. Hosts are very quick to respond to any questions/concerns. I had an easier time backing up the driveway from the street but wouldn't recommend if you are not confident doing so. Some outdoor furniture could be replaced and beach chairs were not found which was a bit of a disappointment. That being said, we would stay again. Oh yeah, love watching the lizards chase bugs while showering!!

Quiet, peaceful surroundings. We loved the solitude! Jo’s place was close to our favorite beach, Salt Pond Bay…a great snorkeling spot. Restaurants and markets are close by, too. My favorite thing about Jo’s was the outdoor shower! Completely private!

This little cottage was a great value. Great location, sweet view from upper deck, clean and very well stocked. As other guests have reported the driveway is a challenge! When the neighbor is home it can take 4 or 5 turns to get out. You most definitely need a 4 Wheel Drive vehicle to stay here. Check out Salt Pond Beach, which is nearby. Great place for swimming, snorkeling & hiking. We didn't go there til the last day and I wish we had discovered it sooner! Hosts were very responsive and answered all our questions. Groceries on St John are ridiculously expensive- bring whatever staples you can in your luggage!
