Tom’s directions were very clear. The Male Hogan was well equipped with everything needed; mini fridge, microwave, comfortable bed, plenty of privacy, plenty of quiet. The walkies that were in the hut we’re nice to have and carry in case we needed help. Plenty of dry, ready to light firewood. Loved the outdoor shower. We hiked a couple of trails that were moderate, with outstanding views. From the time you get on the road headed to the Hurrah Pass (Kane Creek Blvd), expect at least an hour and a half drive due to the terrain. Would definitely give this place 5 stars!

The hogan was a great quiet getaway in a beautiful location. Rustic but comfortable with lots of exploring in the area.

Book this spot! You won’t be disappointed. What a unique stay he offers with the female hogan. You could feel the good energy all around Tom’s place. I will be talkin about this trip for a lifetime. The road is doable in a 5 1/2” clearance vehicle, I only scraped bad 5 times. Drive it in the daylight for sure.

Definitely lived up to expectations. Remote, gorgeous, easygoing host (who encouraged our dogs to feel right at home and put us at ease, and was more than willing to help us enjoy local hikes right from the front door). Tom is gracious in sharing this gem, and the staff are wonderful. Would love to come back when it’s warmer for kayaking!
