If you know midcoast Maine, then you’ll know what a gem this place is. It’s a quintessential Maine cabin and has everything you could want for a relaxing vacation with family, friends, or even a solo getaway. The location can’t be beat. The view from the house and deck is A++. The float is a steep climb down but makes this spot the amazing find that it is. If you happen to rent a boat, Wiscasset is a 5 minute easy ride from the float. If you go by car, it’s 15 minutes. Carol was a fantastic host, always available to answer questions. We felt right at home and could have stayed all summer!

We enjoyed our stay very much! We did have some difficulty finding the location. We were coming in later than we expected - because of traffic on our trip, so it was getting dark. Regardless, the host was readily available and very responsive. They really seemed to care. No problem getting in - and everything was as we expected from the pictures. We would DEFINITELY stay here again! Thank you so much. I would recommend indicating the distance after the single lane bridge for that one turn - since that is where we had trouble. Thank you, again!

This is just about a perfect vacation house! It is a bit of a drive to the nearest town (around 15 minutes with traffic), but the location right on the water is stunning, and the house feels truly secluded and private. We saw seals and ospreys each day while kayaking through the estuary, and went for several swims off the dock (make sure you pull down the small ladder before going in, or it is difficult to get out). The house is comfortable and well-equipped, with a huge porch and sunroom, and is stocked with board games and cooking supplies. Apart from the main bedroom, the rooms are quite small, but it worked fine for our group. The host, Carol, was warm and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again, and felt lucky to find such a lovely house for the price.

Cute house right on the water with beautiful views. House is located close to Boothbay Harbor and the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and we also headed into Portland for a day to see some lighthouses. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet retreat but not too far off the beaten path.

This property is absolutely beautiful! It's just a short drive from downtown Wiscasset, and has a wonderful location right on the river. I could have spent all day just sitting on the porch and the dock and enjoying the views. The hosts were incredibly helpful (including being extra accommodating when we were having car trouble), and I'll definitely be bookmarking this place and coming again!
