Beautiful getaway that is an easy drive from St Louis. Quiet, peaceful, with nature abounding. Always a treat to be welcomed by Carol's pets, including new kitty Millie. Cannot wait to get back when it is warmer and enjoy the Meramec river.

Carol's place is always beautiful. From the minute you get there, you realize how private your stay is. It is a rustic place that makes you wish you had your own farm. Walking out the back door from the cabin, the horses come right up and are very friendly. Bring apples and carrots and you will instantly make friends. At night, it is quiet and no one else is around. During the day you may find three friendly faces from the 3 barn dogs that come up and say hello. We always bring our own pup and he greets them without issue and then they saunter off back to the main house without issue. They are a great part of the nostalgia. This is one of our favorite places to go and get away when we need some peace and quiet, and Carol's cabins are the place to be. We love it.
