I stayed at Grammies Camp for three weeks and a few days, and really enjoyed the place. Right on the lake, it was quiet and peaceful, with friendly neighbors. Jody met me the first day to show me around and talk about the wood stove. There was plenty of wood, and the cabin was stocked with it when I arrived. I'd love to stay there again!

Bernie and Jody's place is such a special spot. The camp is cozy and comfortable, with everything you may need, and being so close to the water is a treat - it was a pleasure to sit outside and watch the birds, chipmunks, or take a kayak out and enjoy the water. Bernie and Jody were wonderful hosts, leaving gifts from their farm, and available when any questions came up. I would recommend this camp to anyone looking for a beautiful, rustic experience.

This is a real old fashioned camp and comes with all of its creaks and groans. Don't expect a pristine BnB stay. You will be at a camp Everything you need is there. Just not the spit and polish of a modern facility. However it is totally charming and if you have fine weather like we did then just sitting next to the lake with a good book or companion is all you could ever desire. We will gladly stay again if we are back that way.

The camp was a balm for me after a difficult couple of years. I had hoped for a peaceful and quiet vacation in the Maine lakes region. I was not disappointed. 3 Mile Pond is a smaller pond than it's neighbor, China Lake, and there was almost no boat traffic on the pond. I could read, knit, and sew to the sound of loons and the lovely pond breezes. I could hear children playing at the few cottages nearby, the local ducks quacking, or a motorboat off in the distance now and then. There were fireworks at the nearby camps on July 4th weekend but I think they're common pretty much everywhere these days. A truly sublime experience that I would recommend to anyone.
