Wow Wow Wow. We've just returned from a relaxing 2 night stay at Damsel Lodge. The lodge was exactly as described and was very comfortable - we really didn't want to leave. David was friendly and helpful suggesting places to go and places to eat. The lodge was on an elevated position overlooking the river Test. We were lucky that we had beautiful weather and so were able to enjoy sitting in the garden, which was a nice sun trap, watching and listening to the birds and eating the yummy brownies which are much talked about in other reviews. We were able to see the river Test on our walk across the common to the village of Chilbolton (approx 20 mins) and had a delicious meal at the Abbots Mitre pub. There is also a village shop in Chilbolton. The Longstock farm shop, cafe and nursey is also worth a visit with reasonable prices and Danebury Hill Fort is also a short drive away which is another good half day out. We will definitely be back for another visit.

We had a lovely stay at Damsel Lodge, everything was as described and Em was a great host. Check in using the key box was super efficient. The lodge was super clean and had all amenities that we needed. I loved the extra touches including the hot water bottle, homemade brownies and fresh flowers, they really made the place feel like home. The lodge itself feels super private and had some beautiful walks on your doorstep. Em had some great recommendations for us, including local walks and pubs. I would highly recommend staying here! Thank you again.

Wow wow wow!! Just beautifully done. The furniture, decor, shower room, kitchen .. all stunning! Lovely selection of teas, a delicious brownies & and a bunch of fresh tulips. Lovely touches 👌 Well thought out, comfortable & relaxing.
