Evelyn was a great host. Very pleasant. My daughter had a particular diet and Evelyn was accommodating for breakfast. We needed housing for the weekend to attend a UIUC function. It was great location only 20 minutes away from the school and the price was very reasonable considering what hotels and other AirBnB were charging. Interesting, there was a peculiar smell coming from a room off the bathroom, but not alarming. We purchase some odor deodorizer and it was fine. Any questions or comments received a response in less than 5 minutes whether before and/or after renting. The location was in close proximity to the highway. It was a nice touch having a fridge and microwave in room. Perfect for left overs.

Evelyn and Abe were very gracious hosts. Checkin was smooth and they were accommodating of our comings and goings. The breakfast was lovely, as was the engaging dining room chat. We experienced some of the details mentioned in other reviews regarding dustiness and such, but it wasn't an issue for us especially considering the age of the house and ongoing rehabilitation work. All in all, a very nice stay.

Evelyn and Abe are wonderful, they make you feel welcome. They live on site. There’s a long way to go before this 1890 mansion is fully restored, but the couple bedrooms and bathrooms now available are fine. It’s 10 minutes to Champaign/Urbana and lots of restaurants, not much in Mansfield. Great access to highways. Quiet.
