The home was beautiful and in an absolutely beautiful area. We took advantage of the deck most days, and my husband and brother -in -law took the kayak out a couple of days. My husband is an amateur photographer and took lots of beautiful pictures. Be prepared to read lots of notes everywhere for "do's and don'ts". Aside from a couple of mishaps with falls, we enjoyed our stay.

Our fifth stay at Bella Vista was as wonderful as the previous ones. The location is spectacular, and it provides a fantastic place for our family to have summer adventures together. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful vacation home that was perfect for our family. The lake was beautiful and much warmer than we were expecting. 78 degrees! The lake does not have much traffic on it so we basically had the lake to ourselves in mid August. Hot tub was nice in the evenings and a few mornings. Great location if you want to be 2 hours from white water rafting the Penobscot, Bar Harbor (Acadia National Park) and Portland. Really no negative things to say except, lots of nats in the evening which but you can’t control that and shower water pressure was not very good. If we decide to come back to Maine ago, would certainly consider renting this lovely cottage/home again. I would rate it 9 out of 10.

Our fourth stay at Bella Vista was as marvelous as the previous ones. The house is as usable and comfortable as ever, and we find new upgrades each year. This year, the extremely high temperatures made keeping the house cool difficult, but the three bedrooms have a/c so we slept well. We rented extra water toys (a paddle board, etc.) from The Cool Bus, a local shop that we highly recommend. They deliver straight to the dock!

The lake is gorgeous - quiet and peaceful and excellent for swimming, we enjoyed it every day of our stay. We also loved the outdoor fire pit and hot tub in the evenings! The house is spacious and comfortable, but only 3 true bedrooms - the other space is an open loft (which was too hot for anyone to sleep in - we were there during a heat wave). The bedrooms have AC units and the basement stayed pretty cool. There was a bit of an ant problem in the house and black flies in the yard, although less so down by the lake. The house had almost everything we needed, but could have use some more essentials like shampoo, extra toilet paper, cooking oil, clean sponge for kitchen. There is a market 15 minutes away called Moose Lake Market that was good for getting needed items. Overall we had a great stay, check-in was easy and communication with hosts was great.
