Madonna dell'Orto - a pretty gothic church with a brick facade Gesuiti - an overpowering church with an interior apparently by Laura Ashley: your jaw will drop. Oratorio dei Crociferi - small chapel with paintings by Palma il Giovane. Fondamenta Nove - a useful collection of ferry stops for boat trips to the lagoon islands. Cannaregio Canal - the second largest canal in Venice, this was once the main route into town. The Casino - housed in a grand Renaissance palace, Ca' Vendramin Calergi, Venice's casino is always keen to attract tourists. Richard Wagner died in the building: his rooms can be visited at pre-booked times. Please note that Starting from the 24th of August 2011 The Municipality of Venice has established the tourist tax with City Council resolution no.83 of the 23-24 June 2011. The tax is applied to the overnight stays of non-residents in the Municipality of Venice for a maximum of 5 consecutive nights. For this accommodation facility the tax for year 2019 amounts to 4 Euros per person per night. There are exemption for minors up to ten years of age and other categories (feel free to ask for informations). The tax is to be payed cash in euros to Residenza Procuratie before to leave the apartment.

The apartment is inside the church called "Chiesa di SAN GIOVANNI ELEMOSINARIO" one of the oldest churches in the Rialto area built in the 11th century, the only church saved from a fire that broke out in the 15th century and by 1700 it had become the priest’s house. The apartment is completely renovated and is a 2 minute walk from Rialto Bridge. It has 2 bedrooms, big living room with fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a shower with chrome therapy. Air Conditioning, wifi and heating.
