Charming attic with exposed wooden beams and stone walls, obtained from a former granary of an ancient mountain house. There is a double futon, resting on the traditional rice straw tatami. A large window will allow you to enjoy a beautiful view of the town and Mount Celo. There is a delightful living room, a study with a desk and a small bathroom with shower. It is possible to add a third bed.
This house is an exemplary conservative renovation of an ancient mountain residence, located in a small town in the Dolomites where time seems to have never passed. Here you can breathe fresh air and savor the sense of the real mountain, of peace, of slowness.
Formerly the atelier of a talented local painter, it has now been transformed into a charming guesthouse full of art, books, color and poetry. The house is structured on four floors and has several common areas: the dining room, a very spacious living room, a reading room, a garden and a courtyard with pergola at the back. Each room is located on a different floor and has its own private bathroom. Peculiar is the side dish a little shabby and a little bizarre: the curious cats will keep you company and even the chickens will pass majestically through the alley in front to observe what you are doing.
Guests will be greeted by a contact person who has great command of the house and will receive assistance 24/7 during their stay. A few steps from the house you will find the Forner bakery - with an adjoining mini-market and bar - which churns out delicious products every morning.
La Valle Agordina is a pretty village in the Dolomites UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site located in the Conca Agordina under the imposing mass of the Moiazza-Civetta, San Sebastiano - Tamer - Moschesin and Monte Celo groups. Passo Duran, the scene of numerous mountain stages of the Giro d'Italia, connects the Agordina Valley to the Municipality of Val di Zoldo and offers a spectacular alpine panorama that is quite popular in summer by all types of hikers and rock climbers and in winter by ski mountaineering and cisapole enthusiasts. The Agordina Valley enjoys a certain fame in the sport climbing sector for the Pian de Caleda cliff, a destination for rock climbers from all over Europe, and is also located at the foot of the most fascinating trekking in the Dolomites, the Alta Via n.1.
