On a five day Civil War trip to visit sites associated with the last 9 months of the war. Just very special to stay in the Wallace House because of its association with Lincoln and Grant. You can almost feel the history. Very convenient to the Petersburg National Battlefield from City Point to Five Forks. Very pleasant drive to Appomattox. The town of Petersburg and the house itself, because of continuing renovation, need a little TLC, but all-in-all, a very memorable stay. We had a little difficulty entering the house as we missed the entry pad and tried to gain entrance by the lock box on the rear door - totally our fault!!

For history buff, recommend! Toilet ran, no hot water for a bathroom, light bulbs missing, work in progress in several rooms, but we overlooked minor issues for a memorable experience. Recommend.

Very beautiful home and such a great opportunity to stay in a historic residence! Still undergoing restorations, but the rooms that have been completed are beautiful and I am very excited to see what the future holds for the rest of the home! Host was very responsive to questions throughout my stay. Very convenient to some of the historical sites in the area.

I recently stayed at the Wallace house. It was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The host was friendly, welcoming, and provided me with all the necessary information about the surrounding area. The house was very clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed for my stay, including a fully-equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed, and a spacious bathroom. It was close to the city center and all the attractions I wanted to visit. Overall, I would highly recommend this Airbnb rental to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in this city.
