We had such a great weekend! Linda Bean’s Perfect Maine listing was just steps away from the general store, Monhegan Boat and a great beach. Our daughter loved the ‘sun’ room she got to sleep in! We spent most of our weekend exploring, but this was a great place to relax in the evenings!

This is a very cute rental and a great location if you’re looking for something very quiet, peaceful and off the beaten path. We enjoyed waking up and biking, or running, stopping at drift inn beach, the small country store for fresh pressed OJ, and the local baked goods (fresh donuts on Fridays) and ice cream at night. A lovely walk to the light house, and everyone around was beyond friendly. The Rental itself lacked in a few areas and others should be aware before you dish out your money- it’s not cheap to stay here! There was hair on the bathroom floor when we arrived and the toilet looked like it had just been used- but besides that everything else was clean. There is NO AC! Yes it does say this in the listing but wanted to re state that here as it made us sleep horribly. There is only cable- aka a few channels no Netflix or other streaming. I know this doesn’t matter to everyone we’re just people who after 10 hours of being out of the house love to unwind with a show in the evening. The bed is big, but there are no curtains so expect to be up at 5am every morning. The good news is these are all things that can be approved upon, they’re just things that we would have loved to be aware about before renting. All in all it is a very cute place, with great communication from the host, in a location that gives you a true Maine coastal experience.

The apartment has everything one needs for a turn-key stay. Roomy, cozy and comfortable, with a wonderful Scrabble board, Lobster Lodge is a lovely place to stay for the quiet places weekend.

This was a beautiful little apartment in the heart of Port Clyde. It was great to wake up and walk a block over for coffee on the docks or breakfast at the general store! The home itself was clean and well stocked with everything you'd need during your stay. The bedroom is spacious and very comfortable. There's a great sunroom off the bedroom with a lovely view of the water and a perfect set up for working remotely. Hosts were very communicative and provided everything we needed. We loved our stay!
