We loved the cottage and the beautiful views from the front. We really enjoyed the local walks along the river, and the location was perfect for visiting Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House. We very much appreciated the welcome cake and milk, the well-stocked kitchen, the spacious bathroom and the excellent shower! Lucy and Phillip were both friendly and helpful and we felt very much at home. We would definitely return for another visit.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Peaks. The house was lovely, we loved the welcome cake and milk! It was the perfect size for us and our dog also enjoyed some “zoomies” in the garden. Lovely walks on the doorstep along the river up to the village. We had a lovely welcome at the Farmyard Inn, great atmosphere, friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed a meal and some drinks at the George Hotel which had lots of vegetarian options and dog friendly options who also gave us a warm friendly welcome. Loved it, would definitely recommend and definitely rebook! Thanks for having us Phil & Lucy.

Just home from a few days staying here and we had a great time, the views from the front of the house are amazing. The house is in a great location to go exploring, and there are plenty of routes to take. Its definately worth a walk or short drive into the town, we had some great food and the locals were really friendly. The cottage is very well equiped and had everyhing we needed, including milk and a cake for when we arrived. Phillip messaged when the house was ready which meant we were able to check in early, and as there was no one arriving the day we were leaving he messaged us to say that we didn't have to be out early which was very kind and appreciated. Would recommend and hope to stay again.

Good location, lovely views. Good food at the Bulls Head and Farmyard inn. Nice relaxing stay. Helena and Barney
