This was our second visit which I think sums up how impressed we were with Tweedledum cottage and Gary as a host. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

Perfect location - do many walks from the door. Two doors down front m our favourite Peak Feast and a very short stroll to the wonderful village stores (who make amazing goats cheese paninis). Only pub open on a Monday night was The George, pub grub, but super friendly and welcomed Martha & Gillie, our Springers. Really loved the use of the courtyard garden in the last of the evening sun - enclosed and perfect for a glass of wine after a day walking. The Fountain Bakery (another favourite) was also closed mon & tues but definitely worth a visit if you get the chance. Did a fabulous walk through to Nine Ladies, Stanton in Peak and back along to Alport and ‘home’ along the river. Gary & Kate were so super helpful and communication was excellent. Ps if you do put the heating on, you won’t need it on for long… the cottage gets cosy warm very quickly. Insanely comfortable bed!

A lovely cottage to stay for a long weekend. Great walks from the doorstep and local pubs. The kitchen is very well equipped which was handy for us as we intended to cook! Loved our stay here - thank you!

A lovely little cottage in a lovely village, with great pubs and a couple of shops for those necessities. The cottage is warm and cosy, with a lovely surprisingly spacious bedroom and bathroom. Yes you do have to watch the stairs, and the head clearances, but its all made known before you go. Its own dedicated parking spot is a definite bonus, particularly in villages like this.
