Our stay was wonderful. The place had everything we needed, with just enough so that we could spend time on the joys of life without being overwhelmed. Ruthie was very responsive, kind, and generous. We're so grateful to have spent time there!

Great location - close to lots of places to explore in Downeast Maine. Comfortable house with a kitchen suitable for making your own meals, a great out-door-shower, and beautiful gardens. Private house despite being in a shared space with a homestead and cabin. Ruthie also makes wonderful chai.

Really enjoyable stay at Ruthie and Jared’s house. Very friendly and accommodating hosts, great launch pad to explore blue hill and deer isle peninsula’s. Definite recommend!

Ruthie was very responsive when we showed up in the area ahead of schedule due to the downpours and not being able to stop along the way, we were able to check in about an hour early. Ruthie responded quickly to all of my questions. The setting was quiet and peaceful. We had an event to go to in Deer Isle and the drive there was easy and we even got to explore Stonington! The house was comfortable and had what we needed.

A magical gem. Like a small homestead, this was the perfect place for our family. The home and property are thoughtfully designed, very warm and homey. We were so comfortable there and did not want to leave so quickly. Many fun family games and great books. We loved sitting around the bonfire and eating at the picnic table outside. Our children enjoyed roaming the property, collecting chicken eggs to eat each morning and delighting in the sounds of the roosters’ crow at dawn. Ruthie is very friendly and gave us great recommendations for local attractions. Really a very beautiful and peaceful retreat in Maine. Would definitely love to come back.
