This place is a mini slice of heaven. A quintessential Maine farmhouse located in a spectacular private setting. The place is a two bedroom and 1 bathroom farmhouse. There is a large, well equipped kitchen, dining room, sunroom, dining area with a large table, laundry in basement, living room and a large outdoor space with a hot tub. It is located in a beautiful area surrounded by nature. Out the back door are hundreds of acres of beautiful pasture and woods to explore. There is a walking path that goes in a loop around the pasture and by an amazing stream that has a ton of wild life and birds. The location is very private as there are no neighbors to the back and each side of the house.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Paul's place for our anniversary. It was peaceful and decked out with awesome art and curated objects that made for a very intriguing time. The surrounding nature was like a Van Gogh painting, with a really cool willow tree and wind-blown private meadow and with lots of birds and other wildlife to observe. The bed was super comfortable, the rain shower was great, and the kitchen was very enjoyable to cook in. We would definitely like to stay here again!
Paul’s home was even better than I expected. It was so charming and had lots of character. The property was so beautiful and the perfect spot for a morning stroll. You really feel at home when you’re here and I was so sad to leave!
Eclectic farmhouse in a rural setting. Even in a drenching rain it’s starkly beautiful with wild turkeys meandering through the field. Cool place that is quiet and restful. Would definitely stay there again.
Paul's place was a dream! Was perfect for a little getaway for the weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around the property and enjoying the coziness of the house. We'll definitely be back!

It is a small rural town with a little market literally a minute walk away. The market sells pizza, lobster, liquor, wine, beer etc. very convenient considering it’s such a rural area. The place is about 15 minutes from both Bucksport and Blue Hill where there are major grocery stores, shopping and dining options. Penobscot is a quintessential, rural, coastal Maine community.
A car is needed to get around most easily. There is a small local market across the street that has gas ( during store hours). Keep in mind that a lot of gas pumps in the area are so old that they don’t have credit card readers. You can actually pump your gas then go inside and pay:) If the store is closed though…no gas.
