Beautiful land. Delicious dining option on the grounds for an additional cost. Creative lodging options. Community restrooms not ideal. Poor amenities to bring and make your own food. Roosters and crows very loud at 5:30 AM significantly disrupting sleep - we were next to the chicken coop. This would not apply to all of the lodging options.

I believe the Cedar yurt may be great for someone looking to be accessible to the main lodge to take advantage of meals/music, or someone elderly needing easier vehicle access. It does feel as if this yurt is located in a parking lot (and there are multiple junk cars parked between the yurt and the chicken run). The light from the lodge lights the yurt throughout the night, and you can see inside the kitchens from the hot tub. It is a beautiful yurt, but gets very very hot inside. The clips on the hot tub lid in the Cedar yurt were broken and sharp, and there was some garbage I picked up around the property. The fire pit was overgrown and would have started a fire. Our first morning, there was work being done to the property across from the yurt and we asked to be moved. Thankfully, the staff was extremely understanding and moved us to the Forest Yurt which we were MUCH happier with (although I do feel maybe the cedar yurt shouldn’t have been offered to visitors with loud work being done directly across from it). The Mongolian yurt was much airier, the space around it was better kept, and it felt much more private and remote. The roof flap was disassembled and we did have to request help to close the roof to protect from the rain. Once it was repaired we were able to use it easily. Overall, the property and beaches are beautiful, the little ferry is delightful, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I would consider returning, especially knowing which yurts/domes would be more remote feeling which was our preference. I think the resort would be better labelled as an eco-resort rather than wilderness, but it is beautiful nonetheless. Having a hot tub in the woods is a really nice bonus!

Great stay, loved the yurt! If you are a warm body, during the summer months, a small fan will help you greatly. Note that the washrooms are located in the main lodge. This is a good compromise between camping and a hotel. Enjoyed our stay.

If you're looking for a lodge-y camping experience this a good place to stay. The washrooms our yurt had access to were also used as storage and shared with quite a few other people. I didn't think the food was worth what you're charged. The wifi is usable but not amazing. They recommend you don't change your accessories within the yurt and instead use the lodge which was a bit of a pain. It can also get VERY hot VERY quickly within the yurt. It's nice there's a hot tub and hammock at each yurt.
