The cottage was very thoughtfully equipped, beautifully decorated and clean. It suited our needs for a walking weekend. It was warm and welcoming. It is possible to hear & see the A623 from the outside but it is a distant, intermittent murmur rather than a hum or a roar. It is an easy walk into Eyam and into the countryside to the north. It was a shame we never got to meet Penny and a quick visit from her to check everything was ok would have been appreciated, to add a human touch to the experience. If I was being very picky I would suggest slightly fluffier towels given the price - but that is a small consideration. Overall I would recommend the cottage.
Absolutely lovely cabin in a super part of the park - close to all sorts of quaint villages and just increíble views. Would recommend!
A fantastic cottage within the heart of the Peak District, very peaceful, clean and easy to get to attractions… Would highly recommend this accommodation and worth every penny
We stayed here for the weekend was lovely weather lots to see great walks lovely people and nice places to eat out we had the best deffo will stay again you will not be disappointed
Great views over the surrounding countryside. The small village of Foolow is 10 minutes walk away with a friendly pub. And the larger village of Eyam is about 30minutes walk. Roomy and comfortable feel to cottage. Good safe storage if you have bikes. Lots of walking and cycling options from cottage doorstep.

We are a family of 5, 3 children aged 24, 22 and 11. I am married to Stephen and love to travel. Our old brown labrador called Bertie recently passed away and we have one of our huts named after him. We now have a new lab called Digby and our new hut is named after him. We also have a new addition, called Paddington and he is a Sprocker! I love to try new restaurants and spend time with friends. We renovated Brosterfield Farm about 12 years ago and we are always updating and hopefully creating wonderful places for our guests to come and stay and share this amazing part of the Peak District with us. We live at the farm in the farmhouse and apart from an odd holiday, We have small and amazing team that help look after the farm and our properties we manage. There is Hannah whom spent her childhood actually growing up at Brosterfield (before we lived here) and now is my trusted go to person that helps with everything to do with the farm.. Melissa and her amazing girls that make sure all our properties are kept to the highest standards and Andy that does all the grounds We are a small and dedicated team that love Brosterfield and are passionate about it and all the guests that stay.
