Cool place just outside of old town Gig Harbor. Clean, unique, and a bit quirky. Home has 2 wood stoves and kayaks. Two of the 5 bedrooms are lofts, one of which is accessed via one of the actual bedrooms. Note that due to the bulkhead, kayaks, hot tub, and wood stoves, we require a liability release to be signed. This is sent to you via Docusign, which is so easy to deal with. Note that the driveway to get to this property is paved but is steep. ***** So just to mention a few things up front. A few people that have stayed have complained about dust. This house has 17-foot ceilings and is probably 75 years old. We do not dust the ceiling on a daily basis or even weekly. So, yes it might have some dust, even a cobweb or 2 or 3. We do our best to address these issues but do not deal with this on a daily basis. We do have 2 air purifiers going at all times in the home. But again, if your group is extremely averse to a bit of dust or a cobweb, then this is a bad place to stay. Also a few people have mentioned that we live in this house. This is not correct; we do not live in this house. We used to live in the house, but we live 3 vacant lots down. So, with this said, yes, we did not vacate everything we own out of the house, as the things are nice and useful. If any of what we have just mentioned is concerning to you, please try to find a place that will better fit your needs. With that said, at the minimum at least 5-8 hours is spent between stays cleaning this house and doing laundry without charging any cleaning fees. ALSO, this is NOT a new house, it is 75 years old, the furniture is NOT new. We do plan on remodeling this house later in 2023. If you are looking for a new property experience or hotel experience this is not a good fit. ***** Here is more data about the property: The house is great. It's a little quirky but very cozy and clean right on the water. It has plenty of heat options so you will stay very warm. We used to prior to covid list this property on Airbnb and VRBO I think we had 200 reviews. Driveway is steep, rear wheel drive vehicles have a hard time when wet. Can be tricky find, but we email you a direction document to help find. Liability release is required, but only needs be signed person booking. We require this because we worry about the potential for a person being hurt due to bulkhead. Only 3 cars down at house, any more park at landing. DO NOT DRIVE REAR WHEELED VEHICLES DOWN!

My group of 7 had the best weekend ever at this house! The view can’t be beat. We kayaked, hot tubbed, cold plunged right from our own beach, and enjoyed the beautiful deck. Saw seals and lots of birds. Love that it is so secluded. The hosts are super friendly, kind enough to give us a late check out so we could adventure more. I had been worried about the driveway bc of reviews, but our old Honda got up and down several times no problem- plus there is a landing above the house so you don’t have to drive the steepest part if you don’t want. There are 3 main bedrooms (the primary is amazing and has its own balcony) and if you need more than that, two loft beds that require a ladder (and one of the lofts is accessed through a bedroom). There are also several comfy couches if someone didn’t want to use the ladder. For the price, I cannot believe how great this house is! We would definitely come back, and probably will

Beautiful location with ample space for a large group. There is a large A/C unit in the living room that was helpful. Upon arrival, we waited outside for 10 minutes before a worker walked by. He kindly went to get the host for us. The host explained that their phone had broken that morning and their wife was in a meeting. We encountered issues with the wifi, but the host came over and assisted us promptly. The host left out supplies to start a fire, which we used along with the hot tub. Kayaks and a small boat are available for use, but be aware that there are spider webs in them. We had to empty out water from the bottom of the small red boat, which had an unpleasant smell. On the last day, the fire alarm began to go off for no apparent reason. I immediately contacted the host through Airbnb, but they did not respond for 12 hours. We decided to leave early due to the alarm. The host said we should have texted them, but I did not want to give my phone number. Overall, would go back
We legit loved the owners of this home. We had no issues with them or the beautiful scenery in front of it. The home is old and has quirks but the owners are quick to respond and help you. However, the road leading to this property is not kinda steep its honest to God unsafe for most drivers. Dry it was a challenge to get up, yet the night before we left it sprinkled and 6 tries later we had to have our 200lb son sit on the hood of the car to make it up the hill. The home is being remodeled this winter so besides the road this place is awesome.
Greatly enjoyed our time at this rustic beach house right on water. Reminded me of Vashon Island which is across the way - super lo-fi in a beautiful setting in nature. Had campfires, went kayaking and cooked out on deck, relaxing and chill. Camilla and Larry were super friendly and responsive to our needs. Driveway was no joke so make sure you have all wheel drive!
