Pemba Moonlight Guesthouse offers a good alternative to the luxurious resort around if you are looking for a more authentic accommodation. It is a really natural place and a peaceful, empty beach is reachable within 2mins. Said's wife Fathuma is an excellent chef and cooks delicious Zanzibari dishes.

Pemba Moonlight was fabulous! It is private, close to the beach, and everyone was very helpful and nice. Malon, who helped us during our stay, was a ray of sunshine and brought a smile to our face every day. Said was extremely helpful with arranging our activities and communicating with us. The food was fresh with homemade, local Swahili options. The stars are fabulous at night. We would highly recommend this wonderful getaway in Pemba :)

Nice stay for travellers on a budget in Pemba who want privacy/a quiet and peaceful trip. Marlon helped me with organizing a village walk and snorkel tour. Beach is a 1 minute walk away. Zombie is also the friendliest dog on the property. As a side note, you do have to pay for the wifi & the data reception is not good if under Vodacom plan (Zantel is better for Pemba/Zanzibar).

Sehr schöne ruhige Gegend, nur kleine Pizzeria in der Nähe, sonst nichts. Saids Frau kocht sehr gut, wenn man einfache Fisch Küche mag. Wir haben unsere 3 Wochen sehr genossen weil wir einfache Verhältnisse gerne mögen! Und 5 Minute zu Fuß zum traumhaften Strand, hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Pemba island est tout simplement splendide et surtout très authentique. le logement est simple et correct mais bien intégré dans le paysage. Seul 3 ou 4 hotels se disputent la longue plage avec tous les standings représentés. attention toutefois au fait que internet ne fonctionne quasiment pas et les routes sont en fait des chemins... on se perds vite mais la gentillesse des gens vous aideront. esprit un peu routard je vous conseille vivement ce paradis ou les choses simples sont les plus belles
