nous avons été séduit par la très bonne notation et le coté un peu typique .nous avons réservé pour 3 nuits et nous sommes parti des le premier matin pour un hôtel tout proche .c est la première fois que j aller dans un Guest house ,je m attendais a mieux .le soir il fait nuit à 18h30 et a part diner le dans leur restaurant ( repas simple et très bon ) on ne peut rien faire d'autre ,même pas prendre un verre (pas d'alcool ) pas de wifi , dodo a 20h .

Le foto non corrispindono alla realtà: posto molto trasandato, stanza sporca e maleodorante. Nella stanza entrano numerosi insetti (larve dal tetto cadevano sul letto) e dal buco dietro il water sul muro è entrato un topo. In tre giorni la stanza non è stata mai pulita e la carta igienica ci è stata data solo alla fine. Il manager è molto molto insistente sulle attività da fare (proposte molto costose) e diventa super scortese al momento del rifiuto. I suoi modi di fare sono molto ambigui, ci siamo sentiti violati della nostra privacy, qualsiasi cosa facevamo lo sapeva subito da suoi agganci. Non capiamo le recensioni così positive perché per quel prezzo non ne valeva la pena. PS. Note positive: cibo molto buono, cuoca brava, guardiano disponibile e cortese.

Just back from a lovely 6 night stay at Pemba Moonlight. It is a great place and Said and his family have put so much effort into the place. The bungalows are comfortable but occasionally the showers are a bit average. To be fair, the water supply to the whole area has been very patchy since the main water pipe burst so all water has to be tankered in. Breakfasts are good and we ate there every evening when we had a home cooked meal provided by Said's wife. On our last day we went on a visit to Tumbe fish market and bought 2 large red snapper fish and Said cooked them perfectly for us. Said was so helpful in organising some trips for us. He personally took us to the spice farm nearby and then on to Wete to see the flying foxes take off into the air at sunset. Definitely a trip to do. Another trip worth doing is the forest walk in the rain forest, the trip to the Fish market, Vimawimbi beach and finally the Seaweed ladies who make seaweed soap in the village very close by the guesthouse. The beach which is about 200m from the guest house has really good snorkelling (you have to swim out quite far to about level with the Manta Underwater hotel room) but when you get there the coral and fish are absolutely superb. There is no regular wifi at Said's but for a one off $5 charge, the nearby Ayiana hotel will put their password into your phone so you can use their's as much as you want. We went there for cocktails and/or beers and sometimes also used their infinity pool and they were super friendly. Sadly the Manta resort does not allow any non-residents to enter its grounds and is positively unfriendly to all locals and tries to stop them going on its beachfront. Such a shame really but what is Manta's loss is Ayiana and Pemba Moonlight's gain. If you want a good value authentic local guesthouse experience then go to Pemba Moonlight.

Le Moonlight est sans conteste le meilleur choix d'hébergement à Pemba pour les voyageurs ayant un budget modéré. Nous y avons passé deux semaines et avons adoré notre séjour ! L'emplacement est parfait, à 3 minutes de marche de la plus belle plage Pemba. A marée basse, on peut marcher jusqu'au banc de sable à l'extrême nord de l'île. Les bungalows sont simples, mais toute l'équipe était à l'écoute de nos demandes et suggestions, et les petits soucis ont été réglés très rapidement ! Merci en particulier à Jamal, pour son aide, son sourire et sa joie de vivre ☺️! Les repas sont très bons et variés. Fatima était toujours attentive à nos souhaits, et nous avons apprécié d'avoir du poisson frais ou des fruits de mer tous les jours. Merci à Saidi et toute l'équipe, nous étions tristes de partir et reviendrons avec grand plaisir !
