In November 1976 I found my dream island Jamaica. I met Penny in Oktober 1978 in the then from tourism untouched Negril. It took another 12 years until I made it my home with my oldest daughter Eilika, 5 years and Louisa, 3 years old. Penny and I opened our first Lighthouse Inn location on (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) with two guest rooms and a rustic bar with two tables. Food was only available on reservation. The unique atmosphere in the West End of Negril, the daily changing food selection, the excellent service and the first free restaurant shuttle in Negril was loved and used by visitors. In (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , we changed the location as we had expanded. Just 3 minutes’ walk away, we opened Lighthouse Inn 2, which is now our current location. It is located just opposite to the famous Lighthouse in Negril, in a beautiful garden filled with flowers, fruit trees, a wild fauna and flora and endangered species of birds. It was clear that we wanted to keep this location as natural as possible, so we built traditional. During our changes, tourism had changed as well, many "all inclusive" offers and more package deals than individual travelers. For everyone who would like to experience the real Jamaican atmosphere even after 30 years, will still find the decelerating, Jamaica-own atmosphere with us, without, however, having to do without modern conveniences such as free Wi-Fi and cable TV. ... .. and last but not least, you can enjoy the ingenious hospitality of Inge and Penny and all the staff members of Lighthouse Inn2.
