My sister, her partner, and I had a wonderful stay at Oar Island. An incredibly magical and beautiful place. The cabin was exactly as (thoroughly) described (Larry made sure to give us all the information we needed to navigate the particularities of island living). Larry was also a very a responsive host and will make sure he gets in touch with you asap if you have any issues (we had a slight issue getting into the cabin but Larry made sure to contact us in a variety of ways to ensure that this issue got this resolved quickly). We had a great time exploring the island on foot, by paddleboard (that we brought), and with the boat that we rented from Larry--endless natural beauty to take in. We also had great luck digging for shellfish and got to enjoy some fresh treasures of the sea with our dinners. We are already talking about trying to turn this trip to Oar Island into our yearly vacation. Could not recommend more!

Peaceful getaway that was accurately described and perfectly priced. Close enough to services while still being remote. We took the boat to the marina daily and went into town for food from the marina, butchers, fish shop, farm stand and bakery in town.

We had an awesome time on Oar Island, perfectly rustic but cozy, well appointed for cooking & the best views. We spent most of our time in the tide pools and hanging out on the rocks or front porch. We’d love to come back.

Amazing cabin in Oar Island! The description is very accurate and Larry makes a great job at giving you all the instructions. Agree with all the comments that the place is much better in person. We loved early kayaking around the island. Truly a place to enjoy nature and relax.

This is an awesome place! If you can meet the host's reqs, and climb ramps and rocks it is worth it to stay here.
