Absolutely amazing stay! We stumbled across this place on Air BnB and booked on the day, Jen was brilliantly helpful as was Anne. We had a great first break with our 6 month old lab. The lodge is so secure and safe for dogs! We can’t wait to come back. Bring your own food/drink as there isn’t a shop that we found within walking distance. The roads are very tight (1 car) so we just made sure we were back before dark.

If you are looking for a peaceful location where you can literally step out the door to go walking, come back, relax and enjoy the view, this is a great location. The lodge is cosy with a log burner/heating. Also fitted out to a high specification for kitchen/bathroom and a very comfortable king size bed for a peaceful nights sleep. Pet friendly with a secure paddock to let your four legged friends enjoy themselves safely. Paws/boots washing facilities and dog treats too! Short drive to Kendal should you need anything. Thank you for a great location to completely relax!

Cosy, comfortable, modern, sparkling clean with a lovely view of a small lake. The weather was not the best during our stay making sight seeing difficult but we were so comfortable and warm in our accommodation we didn't really mind. Loved watching the ducks on the water and sheep up in the green fields. Bed was really comfortable, great shower, kitchen had everything we needed plus a bonus of a washing machine. Also it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. We had a minor maintenance issue and Jen was right on to it and fixed much faster than we thought possible. Down a narrow road for a mile or so but very close to the road to Windermere (45 mins) or to Kendal ( 10 minutes). Totally recommend for a relaxing stay and/or seeing the Lakes district
