The picturesque resorts of Staithes, Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Whitby are just a short drive away. Alternatively, the village is on a direct bus route into Whitby, perfect for avoiding parking at busy times. The cottage is close to two village inns serving good locally sourced produce and real ales; both are dog friendly. Other village amenities on hand include a family butcher, petrol station, churches, village hall, tennis courts, hair salon and a fish and chip shop.
