Great place to stay if you’re going to site see or participate in NOLA events. The street car is just a few blocks walk as well a great breakfast spot and quite a few other restaurants. Easy drive to the airport or the French quarter. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint with NOLA culture all around. The house is very traditional NOLA home with huge size beds.
Wendy’s place was the perfect place for our family to land for our trip back to New Orleans. Great place, great host, super easy peasy check in/stay/check out!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wendy's house. It is very comfortable and Wendy supplies everything - and more - that is needed. She even left us breakfast items for the next morning! The house is spotless and the neighborhood is wonderful. Wendy was very responsive to all our needs. We will definitely try to stay here again!
Wendy's place is very comfortable and well thought out. We looked forward to returning to it after spending our days out exploring. We spent slow mornings sipping coffee on the screened in porch, listening to birds and watching the neighborhood pass by (including an adorable neighbor cat). Three couples (some of whom do not travel light!) fit the space comfortably and easily with the right amount of privacy and a great layout for our occasion. We did some cooking, and had everything we needed to execute a couple of meals. We would definitely like to return.

I am a native New Orleanian, with French Louisiana heritage that dates back to 1720--that's before the Louisiana Purchase! I have lived here my entire life, except for a few years when I lived in San Francisco and when I worked in national parks. My love for this city runs deep--there's truly nowhere else like it. My hometown's unique culture, art, and architecture is a rich source of inspiration for me as a designer. My fiancé Tom made New Orleans his home 22 years ago, and around here that qualifies him as a "local." Tom is the owner/creative director of one of the most authentic live local music clubs in New Orleans, called D.B.A., which is located on world-famous Frenchmen St. If you love experiencing live local and regional music, you should definitely check out D.B.A. We both love music, art, and food, and we love celebrating the unique cultures and traditions of New Orleans and Louisiana. Did I mention FOOD?! New Orleans has world-class cuisine at every price level.
