This is a lovely comfortable cottage, very sympathetically converted from and old stable block, tastefully furnished, and surprisingly spacious. It is handily situated in attractive grounds on the edge of Melrose, along with a couple of other nicely converted properties, and with easy access to to the town and the Eildon Hills which overlook it. Communication with Claire was very easy, and her husband was very helpful when meeting us and letting us into the cottage. We would highly recommend the property and Melrose itself for anyone wanting to explore the Borders.

We had a lovely weekend break at the cottage! The place was super cosy and the surrounding grounds were beautiful, our dog loved having the freedom to roam! We were greeted on arrival and shown around the cottage which was great. Town is not too far a walk and we had a fab time exploring the local area. Would highly recommend!

Great stay at the Stables, easy walk into Melrose with some lovely places to eat that were dog friendly- The Ship and Kings Arms hotel in particular. Bed was super comfy, slept so well. Welcome pack of wine and nibbles was over and above what we expected. Garden was good for the dogs to run about although not enclosed so had to keep a close eye on them. Weather meant we couldn’t make use of the outside seating or bbq but maybe next time. Thanks for a relaxing stay!
