There were 4 adults and a dog in our party and the property was big enough for us all. It is ideally situated for walking and short car journeys to lots of beautiful spots. The local pub, The Miners Arms (about 100 metres away) is lovely. We will definitely return as there is lots more of The Peaks we want to discover.

We enjoyed a 5 night break at Rowan Cottage. Key things we really liked : open fire, modern kitchen facilities, comfy beds, good bathroom and shower. Eyam is lovely location - we had some beautiful country walks straight from the front door too. A great place to stay !

We had a great week staying at Rowan Cottage in the historic village of Eyam. The cottage was very cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. It was a few minutes walk to the local pub, shop and village centre. There were beautiful local walks and the cottage was a great base to visit other attractions within the Peak District, such as Kinder Scout, Mam Tor, Bakewell, Stanage Edge and Castleton. Thank you Cheryl, we had a fantastic week!

Wonderful location and a really homely feel. Easy access to the amazing Derbyshire countryside and great walks right out of the door.

Very cozy space in an incredibly peaceful village. Great walking in town and connecting to trails outside of town as well. The Village Cafe was lovely and just a few minutes walk away as well as a local market on Church Street within 5 minutes walk (really nice people working there). Loved the central location to so many great hiking spots in the Peak District. A few packets of instant coffee, a few biscuits / treats, sugar / salt / pepper, and fresh milk were provided (& much appreciated), but bring some oil or butter if you’re wanting to do some cooking!
