An absolutely smashing little place, we were thrilled when we arrived to find a cosy, warm and inviting place to stay. Everywhere was scrupulously clean and everything we could need was provided. Joan let us know she was available should we need anything ... we didn't! Coffee shortbread and milk were very welcome too. Loads to do in the area. Locals extremely friendly too. Loved our trip.

First time we have visited this area. Accommodation and location excellent. The flat was warm and extremely comfortable and very well equipped. We enjoyed trips to Lindisfarne, Alnwick garden, Hauxley nature reserve and a wonderful sail to the seabird colonies on the Farne Islands.

Had a wonderful few days at Joan’s. This coastline is magical with castles and beaches that will amaze. Joan was so helpful and offered some great suggestions. The cherry blossoms at Alnwick were incredible! Joan’s place is well equipped, cosy and in a quiet location yet perfect for exploring. It has everything you need for a home away from home.

Highly recommend, absolutely lovely flat, spotlessly clean and so comphy and cosy. Great location and communication from Joan throughout. A very cosy and homely place. Situated in a convenient location that was a short drive from many places including Edinburgh. Joan was a Very friendly host and I can’t recommend well-house enough!
