Oak Wood is a beautiful converted barn offering superior accommodation situated on the Herefordshire/Welsh borders overlooking the Black Mountains with the Offa’s Dyke foot path running through the property. Oak Wood is a great place for family with lots of open space in the very large garden perfect for family gatherings, walkers, mountain bikers, college/school reunions and any celebrations. The barn is the perfect place to relax and unwind whilst taking in the beautiful views. Oak Wood is a beautiful barn conversion bursting with character beams, natural wood and stone features with glorious panoramic views of rolling countryside.

Comfortable and spacious, very well equipped, excellent bathrooms. Beautiful area, if a little off the beaten track. Ideal for family/friends get-together. We really enjoyed our stay.
Fantastic Barn with acres of [internal+external] space, fully explored and used by four grandchildren all weekend. More warmth and hot water than you could shake a stick at, proving perfect shelter from new year storms. Perfect for a country family get together.

The area of Rowlestone, South Herefordshire is a beautiful, rural quiet place to live, very close to the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons with the Offa’s Dyke Foot Path running through the property.
We have excellent village pubs, an ice cream parlour, a cider maker/shop, village shops post office and 2 family butchers all locally within a 10 minute drive. The famous towns of Hay-on-wye, Abergavenny, Monmouth and pretty Chrickhowell are all under a 45 min drive away, plus many more.
Guests will need a vehicle to get about generally, but several local attractions are within walking distance.
