A tiny cottage for two, with the shortest (55in) doors. Just 2 mins walk from the beach, this self service, tiny home is a perfect base to hang out and enjoy the nearby beach. Located on a 2000 sqm fenced property, this is the first finished structure, and Martin and Mara live here most of the time. The pool and studio will begin construction in March 2024. When you arrive, you'll see the portion of the property under construction is enclosed for your privacy. As you enter the gate, you will see the Main House right ahead of you. The dipping pool at the bottom of the staircase is shared by all guests. The rest of the Main House is off limits to Cottage guests. The Cottage is a tiny home with high ceilings with a partial view of the rice fields and the sunset. The view is mostly obstructed by a fence which covers the construction area. One hammock hangs on the porch, in front of the outdoor sofa. The bedroom has a Queen sized bed and curtains to keep the insects out. Though the entire house is screened, bugs find a way inside, as we leave the front door open most of the day. The kitchen is in the central room, which is shared with the workspace. There is enough space for 2 people to work. The Cottage gets warm in the afternoons, and this is the best time to cool off at the beach or in the dipping pool. The bathroom is next to the kitchen, and is a small space with high ceilings. The sink is very small! We usually use the kitchen sink for most needs.

We definitely enjoyed our stay in Baia Nest. Clear instructions and guidebook is provided and we just felt at home. Staff is very helpful with literally everything we need. Highly recommended for those who wish to disconnect and rejuvenate themselves. We made new dog friends in the property and they made our stay more unforgettable.

Buenavista is a popular surfing destination in Gubat, Sorsogon. This small beach barrio boasts a 2 kilometer, grey sand beach, facing the Pacific Ocean. Bicol University is across the street from our house, and guests will walk through a field to get to the beach just 2 minutes away.
Behind our house, there is a sea of rice fields, and it's usually quiet, except a few days a year when the farmers are tilling the soil. Since Gubat faces the East coast, the back of our house has a rare view of the sunset.
Gubat town is a quiet little town with a few restaurants and a couple of bars. The people are friendly, and most locals can speak some English.
There are tricycles, buses, and jeepneys that pass just outside our house, so it's pretty easy to hop on one to get to the nearest town or city, or to go sightseeing. Parking is quite easy everywhere.

We are visual artists: Martin is a musician and film director, and Tamara is a Cinematographer. We both surf+travel often. We are based in Subic Bay with our eight! dogs. We love camping and good times on the beach with easygoing people. We keep to ourselves, so you won't see us or our team unless we are needed. We'll give you your privacy while you're staying at our Nest. We clean up after ourselves and respect the locals. :)
