I was nervous booking a place with no reviews and few pictures, but was pleasantly surprised! Overall, the four of us were happy with our stay. The hosts were quick to respond and made check-in a breeze. The location was wonderful too. The only complaint we had was that there was a fair bit of pet hair throughout the apartment (though that was likely because we booked the apartment last minute, so there may not have been time for a full “deep clean”). We will certainly stay here again next time we’re in Elkader!

We have a variety of interests from repurposing clothing to traditional archery (also building longbows).We are involved in local activities supporting the community. We have had our guest suites since 2006. The building has an interesting history originally built as a church. We enjoy providing a private place for people to stay and enjoy the Northeast Iowa area.
