Very responsive and friendly host. Home was about a 10-15 minute walk from the beach. Stop and go was 2 minutes away and very helpful. No washer/dryer which was tough with toddlers. Not kid-friendly, no locks on doors and tough inside set-up in this historic home. Marina at your back door and lots to do and see within a 10 minute drive.

The location is perfect if you want to walk to a public beach or put a kayak into the water. You can even walk to the Branford Green if you are up to a 20 minute walk. There is enough sleeping space for 4 people, but it would be a bit crowded in the dining area and the bathroom. It's fine for one or two. The main potential issue is that there is a fairly steep staircase between the living room on the first floor and everything else (bedrooms, dining area, kitchen!, den) on the second floor which is not very safe for people with agility limitations. It's a house built in 1875, some maybe this is par for the course, but it would be good knowing this before you rent. Also some of the amenities (toilet, bathtub/shower access) would benefit from updating.

We had a wonderful month at this property. The space was perfect for the two of us, but there were also two extra bedrooms. As stated in the descriptions, it is located right on the Branford River and minutes from the beach one way, and town the other. The host (Julia) was unbelievably responsive and helpful in every way. It was a five star experience in every way
