My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay. It was a perfect base for day hiking in the Needles district of Canyonlands NP. The room and bathroom was clean, the shared kitchen worked for us, it was fun meeting other travelers; and our host, Shane, is a terrific, hard working guy. The only negative is paper thin walls. But this is part of the era when the place was built.

This was easily one of the best Airbnb experiences I have ever had. What a perfect place to stay! You are truly staying in an authentic western lodge that has a real history going back generations of one family. They have turned their place into the perfect lodge with about 5 rooms. The room was extremely well appointed with nice beds and towels and a modern bathroom. I was amazed at the fast internet everywhere on the property. The family used to run a steak house there but now that's closed and guests can use the big and well appointed kitchen that's open for guests to use night and day. The lodge is located about 8 miles from the entrance to the Needles District part of Canyonlands National Park. Far away from the crowds of Moab and close to some amazing adventures. You simply can't go wrong staying at Rough Lock Resort.

Roughlock Resort is a very convenient location for traveling Hwy 191 near Monticello, UT. It is charming, relaxing and welcoming. Western accents and local information abound in this historic lodge. Comfortable beds, hot showers and a convenient common kitchen area to prepare your own food are appreciated. It has a hostel type feel where you can meet other guests from all over the world who share appreciation for this special area. This was my second visit and I’m sure I’ll be back!
