Janet’s cottage was the perfect place for our large family of 8. Plenty of sleeping and bathroom space for all. We loved the warmth of the cottage and the beautiful view of the lake. We took full advantage of the games and puzzles Janet provides in the family room. While staying at the cottage, a storm came through the area knocking out power to over 400,000 homes. Janet was very quick to communicate the power outage to us (as we were not at the cottage at the time). She kept us updated on the progress to restore and offered support to us if the power outage persisted. Janet is a great host and we look forward to staying at her cottage again when visiting family in Maine.

Great place to stay, the setting is beautiful. We enjoyed the early morning on the deck wrapped in a blanket with a great cup of coffee. We had three different families for a long weekend and it was a comfortable place to gather, eat and catch up. The kitchen had everything that we needed to prepare meals. I imagine that the warmer months would be a fantastic place to spend a vacation. I have rented houses in Maine for the last 10 years and this host was the best by far. The book was up to date and very informative, everything was labeled properly, (including all the light switches). We did NOT want to leave. Worth the trip!

My family had a great time! The house was incredible and had everything we needed from cooking and cleaning to comfy beds and extra linens, plus all of the board games! The sunset views on the pond were amazing. It was so peaceful. Janet’s directions made it easy to find and the check in process was so simple! We will definitely be back. There was so much space in the cabin for our whole family to enjoy without feeling crowded.

The house is very comfortable, with nice little bedrooms and a loft. Cool to have a kitchen and bathroom on each floor. Yard and boats are very usable and in good condition. Pond is great for casual swimming and boating - shallow for a ways, fine footing - and the view over lake is beautiful, including from the house, looking through trees.

A beautiful home with everything you could possibly need and the location on the pond is serene and the sunsets are gorgeous. The house is spacious and can easily and comfortably sleep two families. The host is lovely and responds quickly. We will be back!
