Amazing location right on the beach with views to the surf from the living room floor to ceiling window. Sit on the deck with a cocktail and enjoy the energy of the ocean, then take a few steps down for a long walk on the beach. The place itself is ok but not spectacular, it’s a bit “beach house”, comfortable and functional but a bit worn down. However, you’re there for the location and the place was fine for that. Lee was a friendly host but not the most responsive to questions once we were there. Neighbors were quite welcoming and the unit and area are dog friendly with an empty lot for “business” just two doors down. All together I highly recommend.

We had a fabulous time at Lee’s place. What an idyllic location to relax and restore for a few days! Sunsets from the deck were spectacular, and our dogs loved their daily walks along beach road, occasionally using the beach access to get their toes wet. The linens on the beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen was nicely equipped for us to cook a few family meals. Highlights during our stay were sitting around the firepit non the deck in the evenings and watching dolphins swim by throughout the day. We definitely hope to return again!

On a headed west 15th anniversary road trip Dana point was one of the highlights since we've not been to CA before. We had a 2 night stay at Lee's place. Location was awesome, can't beat being right on the beach, seen a dolphin and had good weather. There was a hiccup when we got there and after contacting Lee it was resolved in a professional and timely manner. We were traveling with our 3 pups and with staying on the lower level had to do a make shift barricade so they didn't go down the gang ways or up to the next level. A small gate or something retractable would of been nice to make sure they don't run off while hanging out on the deck. The showers were a little inconvenient- if you are over 5ft you've gotta duck down some to get under the showerhead. All in all would stay again. Great host and nice community.
