Needed a place in Cville at the last minute due to an emergency vet situation with one of my dogs. This is one of those situations where a difficult moment makes something nice, since I adored Joan's place and especially loved the neighborhood, which I hadn't explored before. It is absolutely charming and wonderful to walk around in, jog in, etc. Thanks so much to Joan for hosting us, and at the last minute. The porch is very nice and the garden is lovely. This neighborhood is also very central-- close to historic Cville downtown, the university, great restaurants, etc. Good air conditioning, too! (Important on those 90 degree Cville days!)

Joan was an excellent host Photos perfectly described the home with all your basic amenities. Beds and linens wear great. Right down the street from several great restaurants Tavolo and the Local. The neighborhood was quiet and about 1 1/2 to downtown Charlottesville. The only negatives was the key code to get in was a little tricky but we got the hang of it and the home yard could use a little TLC but with all the rain recently that could be a challenge

Great location for foodies! All the best restaurants are a short walk away. It’s an adorable, quiet neighborhood, close to the old downtown strip, and easy to catch the free trolley to UVA. We were very comfortable there and the host is great.

Really great place to stay when visiting Charlottesville. Very quiet and clean. We were lucky to get it last minute and Joan is a very friendly and responsive hosts. Excellent recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. No kidding 6-7 great restaurants at the end of the block. Would absolutely stay here again
