Such an amazing secluded home! We got to watch the lambs playing from the windows - so cute! The space is laid out so well, perfect for our family holiday! The instructions of how to find the place and enter were really clear which made arriving a breeze. The underfloor heating kept us all toasty on the frosty mornings! The track down to the cottage had a few potholes, but nothing major so we drove slowly. The supermarkets are around 15-20 minutes drive, but we are out most of the time. Loved how close it was to Thorpe Cloud, although the footpath was very boggy because of the rain. Overall an amazing private space that gave us a relaxing spot to enjoy our holiday!

If you are interested in a peaceful, private and very secluded home from home then a stay at Dove Cottage will not disappoint. The house is immaculate, presented to an incredibly high standard and feels like a high end luxury rural retreat. The isolation and the surrounding landscape makes you feel like the only people for miles around. The track down to the cottage is quite steep and may not suit a nervous driver but what waits for you at the bottom is certainly worth it. The house is well positioned for Dovedale and the White Peak, with stunning scenery and walks on the doorstep. The Old Dog in Thorpe is also great for Sunday lunch. This is by far one the best AirBnBs we have stayed in - everything about our stay, including all communications with the host, was nothing short of exceptional - and we would wholly recommend a stay at Dove Cottage to anyone. Such a beautiful, recently renovated cottage in stunning countryside, surrounded by rolling hills, wildlife, nature. We were wanting a peaceful hideaway that gave us access to good family walks and we got it in spades. Situated at the end of a farm track (no Ferraris or low-slung vehicles here!) the cottage is close to the river and looks out onto the floodplain of the river Dove. Sheep abound, as do kites, pheasant, and partridge, we even saw a stoat! The only problem was that we couldn't stay longer.

Very peaceful location with lots of different walking/hiking routes all around the cottage. The cottage was very clean and new inside. Had such a lovely stay here and was lucky with the weather as well. Definition of the perfect country side escape. We would love to stay again
