Nestled within 66 wooded acres and featuring a private lake perfect for fishing and canoeing, this is your gateway to tranquility. Designed to cater to every need, our chalet offers spacious and stylish accommodations that redefine the concept of "in-the-woods cabin." Enjoy the comfort of modern appliances, central heating, and air conditioning. Each room is generously sized and exudes cozy comfort, complete with ceiling fans and large-screen Smart TVs. Say goodbye to cold showers with endless hot water, ensuring your utmost comfort. Music aficionados and Beatle fans will be in paradise, with a dedicated music room equipped with a full band set-up for your enjoyment. Only 35 minutes away, Cranberry Lake Campground beckons swimmers and outdoor enthusiasts. And when it's time to stock up or dine out, you're just 8 minutes from shops, gas stations, pharmacies, and a variety of restaurants. The Space: This is no ordinary cabin; it's a modern haven with all the conveniences you could desire. 4 comfortable bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms will make you feel right at home. Multiple parking areas are available for your convenience. Guest Access: Norwegian Woods offers two separate rentals: the chalet and the adjacent cabin, a mere 120 feet to the left of the chalet. If you require additional space for accommodations (sleeps 2), consider booking the cabin, known as the "Harrisville Love Shack." Explore the property with plenty of areas for hiking and walking. Other Things to Note: For any emergencies, please dial 911. In this area, the New York State Police have jurisdiction. Nearby hospitals include Carthage Hospital (35 minutes), Lowville Hospital (45 minutes), and Watertown Hospital (45 minutes). Just 8 minutes away, you'll find a pharmacy, gas station/convenience store, restaurants, and a grocery/meat market. everything went completely smooth and the place was beautiful.
This was a very nice stay! The house is very nice, clean, and right on the pond. It is far from traffic so it was very quiet and peaceful. A great getaway!
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to book this place! If you want to get away and just enjoy being out in nature YOU HAVE book this home. I say home because I felt this is just not a regular place or airbnb. This is a home! My family and I were so relaxed and enjoyed each moment we were there. There are nearby shops and etc with some of the most gentle and friendliest people. The owner, Danny, was amazing! So accommodating and with great communication. I am so thankful to Danny and his team for being so kind and pleasant to give my family the time to relax! Also, the music room was so much fun. I think we literally stay up for hours just dancing, singing and testing out our untrained instrument skills. I am now considering trying out for AGT lol! Really thank you all for everything!
I can't say enough about our incredible stay at this beautiful lakeside chalet. Waking up every morning to the shimmering lake right outside our window was simply breathtaking. The peace and privacy of this chalet made it the perfect getaway location. Dan was incredibly helpful and friendly. He went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Whether it was offering local tips or helping us with any questions, his warmth and hospitality made us feel so welcome. The chalet itself was stunning, cozy, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed exploring the lake by canoe and lazy afternoons on the deck, sipping coffee and taking in the view. Our time here was truly magical. If you're looking for a serene lakeside getaway with a view that will steal your heart and a host who will make you feel like family, don't hesitate to book this chalet. It's an Airbnb gem that we feel so lucky to have discovered!
We just arrived home after a fantastic week at Dan’s gorgeous home. From beginning to end we enjoyed every minute and kept saying how we would come back every year! It was the most relaxing week for our little family. We spent so much quality time together- from enjoying coffee with a view, to cooking our meals together in the amazing kitchen, going for adventures on the property (our 5 year old LOVED canoe rides!), having jam sessions in the music room, playing board games together at night and making s’mores by the fire before curling up in the “coziest beds ever” per our daughter, we had the absolute best trip we could have ever imagined. We usually go a little further away but decided for something a little different this year and Norwegian Woods has been our best trip yet. Dan was so helpful with any questions we had and suggestions for what to do and was so welcoming. We couldnt give a higher recommendation for staying here. Thank you for the best week EVER! We loved it!

The neighborhood is extremely safe. Neighbors prefer to keep to themselves and cherish their privacy.
You have total privacy with no neighbor in sight from both the chalet and the cabin.
The closest neighbor is 1500 feet away and rarely present.
There is no public transportation in Harrisville.
ATV's are popular all year round as are snowmobiles during winter season.
