Had a wonderful couple of days on the farm in Jan 24. Wish we could have stayed longer. The farm is incredibly beautiful, all the amenities were better than advertised and the animals were so friendly it massively enhanced the experience. You could have a lovely holiday just within the boundary of Rivergate. Farm is a short, 5 min drive outside Stanford. Would definitely recommend

Great landing spot after a long flight, very relaxing and peaceful. The kids loved being outdoors and the highlight for them were the chickens and George. Beautiful spot, very happy with our stay, no complaints. Getting those delicious breakfast baskets every morning was an amazing addition. Thanks to Bianca and the ladies who took care of us.

What a magical experience for both young and old alike. This family run farm has something for everyone. Honestly this was the best weekend we have had away - with a 2 and 7 year old in tow. The food fired Kol kol hot tubs are brilliant for warm or cold weather and such a joy for kids to splash around in. And the breakfast baskets should be called Feast baskets - so much fresh farm to table food for you to enjoy each day. From the lamas to the turkeys to the spring lambs you can find a joyous farm animal experience at every corner of the plot. And with tractor rides to visit the cows and 300 laying hens on the working side of the farm, the kids are entertained for hours. The stable cottage is beautifully appointed with every amenity you could need as well as some complimentary sherry if that is your tipple. Heated towel racks and electric blankets are just some of the thoughtful touches included in the spacious bedrooms with quality linen and en suite shower bathrooms in each room.
