Welcome aboard the "Slackin Shack" - our beautiful handcrafted houseboat, located right on the water in the heart of Historic Downtown Swansboro! This charming and unique home is the perfect way to experience the beauty of the North Carolina coast in a truly special way. The interior has been fully updated with modern amenities for a comfortable stay, while the outside spaces allow you to take in the breathtaking beauty of the waterway and scenery in style. Escape to the Crystal Coast today! This updated 35-foot houseboat with an open layout is a perfect floating home for those who want to enjoy the water without sacrificing comfort and convenience. The houseboat has a classic design, with a clean white exterior and large windows that let in plenty of natural light while offering picturesque views of the water. The main living area of the houseboat is an open concept saloon, with a convertible dinette that can be transformed into an extra sleeping space if needed. The living area also includes a fully stocked longitudinal galley (a kitchen for your landlubbers), complete with a mini-fridge, propane stove/oven, and plenty of counter space for meal preparation. The houseboat features two sleeping areas - one with a queen-sized futon bed and the other with a twin bed, providing plenty of space for up to four people to sleep comfortably. The head (bathroom) contains a separate stall shower with hot water, electric toilet, and all the amenities you need to feel at home. The head is smaller than what you might be used too but is efficiently designed to make best use of the space available. Step outside onto either of two decks and you'll be greeted with stunning views of the waterway and the surrounding scenery. Both decks are furnished with inviting seating that offers plenty of room for relaxation and entertainment. The upper deck is ideal for soaking up the sun, while the lower deck provides a shady retreat from the heat. Whether you're enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning, taking in a picturesque sunset, or stargazing at night, the decks provide the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Such a great, unique experience! The boat and surroundings are beautiful. Sitting on top and in the boat are relaxing and entertaining. It’s also fun to walk around the downtown, eat in the restaurants, and ride bikes to Hammocks Beach State Park. The location is perfect! Park your car for free and don’t get back in it until time to check out.

This was our first time staying overnight on a houseboat. Wish we could have stayed longer. It was very clean inside. Easy access from where we parked. The only thing that made me a little nervous was the narrow ledge as you make your way to the side door entrance. Enjoyed looking at the stars from the seating on top of the boat at night. The whole experience reminded us of camping. Host was friendly and communicative.

This was an awesome and very unique stay. Mikey was fantastic and the boat was a great little adventure. Steps away from lots of great shops and restaurants in Swansboro, live music while hanging out on the roof deck, and a quick and easy drive to Emerald Isle and beyond. Highly recommend this stay!

We really had a great time and were pleasantly surprised with the location next to several good shops and restaurants. It was our first time on a houseboat and it exceeded expectations. Clean, welcoming, nice layout for a short stay. Host responded quickly to questions. We had great weather so it was awesome watching the sunset from the patio on top of the boat. Would definitely return if the chance comes up.
