Julie's place is HIGHLY recommended. It was very clean. Very comfortable. Julie's communication was very responsive and very helpful. The location is safe and perfect and central for the southern tip of Big Island. If I could we would give ten stars.

This place is gorgeous and has beautiful views of the ocean from the lanai. The house is very spacious and has lots of room. We wish it had a BBQ so we can grill out. Also, needs more seating on the outside lanai - I would recommend some rocking chairs.

At first, my party reacted to the distance from Kona and wondered why I had booked a place almost 1.5 hours away. But once they stepped in they knew why. The property was spacious, welcoming and clean. You wake up watching a panoramic view of the sunrise over the ocean with a green golf course in the foreground. The kitchen and all rooms were well equipped - my mom was impressed by the attention to detail. The location worked well with a 30 minute drive to the volcano national park. It was a longer drive to Mauna Kea, but we covered Hilo on the way and looped back through Kona. Overall, highly recommend this property and will stay again. Two suggestions for the host: 1. Parking instructions would be useful - we arrived in the dark and took us a while to figure out that we had to drive between the hedges and park in front of the home as there is no designated parking space or drive way. 2. The lock box was hard to open at night - would be good to turn on the porch light.
