A beautiful cottage in peaceful surroundings. Enjoyed listening to the owl at night and watching the horses during the day.
Enjoyed our stay. Nice layout with each bedroom being en-suite. Nice and warm. Lots of space. Great area for walking.
Great place to stay for a family weekend.... lovely walks and pubs for lunches near by followed by cosy evenings by the fire..... Sunshine everyday of our stay was a great bonus!
A tale of two halves. The house and location (once you find it), is really good. We stayed there for the Yorkshire 3 peaks and it was an excellent base. The showers in particular were a highlight and the whole house was very clean. However, I've never had a worse experience of locating and getting into an Airbnb. The cottage company didn't provide any instructions via email so I had to phone and wait in a 15 minute queue before leaving just to get the access code to the key safe. Then when we drove to the house, the address provided was incorrect. We only found the farm by talking to locals in the nearby village. A lovely house, but very poor communication from the host.
The property is in great location & surrounding, spacious, well equipped, comfortable (but the ground floor bedroom has got roof windows only, difficult to ventillate & its bathroom is a smelly). Massive problem was a poo/non-existing communication throughout between agencies (Air B&B, cottages,com &helping hands company) resulting in confusing, contradictory or no info sent to me. Examples: property address on the website is incorrect- cottages,com were unaware of this!?!; check in time was 3 pm in one & 4 pm in the other e-mail (it took them a week to clarify after 3 calls & 3 e-mails); AirB&B sent me 5 identical e-mails &4 SMS messages, repeatedly on the same day!; When arrived & checked in, the property hasn't been cleaned?! When complained to cottage,com they told me that that's not their duty &advised me to contact the cleaners & arrange cleaning?! Total shambles &shocking! No apologies at all! I officially complained. What a pity! Rosemary, the owner was very helpful, though!
