The place was beautiful. We all had plenty of elbow room, as well as gathering places. The kitchen was well supplied and easy to work in. The owners were very responsive.
This house was great for me and my family. Its warm and very spacious, great open areas with lots of windows to see the beautiful outdoors. The location is extremely quiet and private. Our host was very responsive and we had everything we needed during our stay.

The neighborhood is super quiet. You can't see any other houses. Woods pond doesn't have motor boats on it and is very private. A great place for kayaking, canoeing, and some lake fishing (requires Maine license) from Mary Jane Island accessible by canoe or kayak. Just a mile from the local food co-op and grocery store, two miles from town park and downtown. And there are multiple Blue Hill Heritage trails on the peninsula.
You can explore beaches and parks if by car, and many people rent bicycles for use on Acadia National Park trails, or rent kayaks and canoes locally for use on the pond here or other lake or ocean locations.
