Everyone loved the lodge. The grill and kitchen made it easy to make food for the group. Lots of space to relax and hang out, beautiful scenery. We'll be back next year!!
This was a great place for our family get-together! The living area separate from the sleeping areas worked out well for us, allowing for rowdy game nights away from those that wanted to get some sleep. Lots of room for a big family! It is remote, except a short hike to the local brewery (highly recommended!) - quiet, peaceful, dark night sky with beautiful stars....a true get-away! It is a bit eclectic, and quaint. I would have given 5 stars across the board with the following exceptions: The kitchen has some electrical challenges that will hopefully be resolved soon with the need to reset circuits and some challenges with the dishwasher. Also, one of the beds advertised as a queen was actually a full sized bed. We really enjoyed our stay!
Awesome house. Most impressive cabin and property on the drive from Eagles Nest to Red River. Great place for a large group. Pool table, large kitchen, big bar, oversized table, amazing views. We will stay here again for sure. I do hope they find a solution for the smell of the well water.
My friends and I had a lovely stay at Lisa's. The decorative antiquities and immaculate setting make for a true hidden gem.
Overall we enjoyed it. Red River/Angel Fire/beautiful state parks within 20 minutes. Eagle Nest valley is stunning. Star studded night night skies, beautiful sunrises & sunsets. And there was something dreamy about staying on a horse ranch which, you can tell, has a rich story and has had so much love poured into the place. Online pictures show two stoves but there was only one and it was smaller than shown, not ideal for a large group and neither was carrying everything via the stairs, dumb waiter not working. A site map would clarify that the loft and bunkhouse are separate. The deck needed TLC. Outside grill not clean. The water had a smell, some were put off by it. Shower heads not all functioning. Bench swing on the ground. Rusted/partially broken fire pit. Lisa’s other listing, which was just down the road, seems like it was more our speed. We enjoyed the hangout room, easy to keep little ones entertained. Lisa was very communicative and answered all our questions.

Thanks for checking out the C Diamond C Ranch. The ranch has been in the family since 1995. Originally, it was part of a 60,000 acre ranch started in the 1800's and is still surrounded by third and fourth generation ranching families with up to 80,000 acres! We acquired the ranch originally as a place to raise and train horses. As a family, we trained and showed Arabian horses as well as had trail riding stables. The rancher we bought it from raised and showed cutting horses and built professional cutting and roping arenas and facilities. We purchased the ranch to slow down our pace of life, start a guest ranch and have a great place to raise our three kids. Well, the kids are grown and now it is time to share the ranch with others. We have been renting the headquarters cabin called The Cabin since 2012. We are just now offering as a separate listing the beautiful 2000sq/ft Lodge with adjoining ranch style bunkhouse. Visit the listings and dream of a vacation on a real working ranch in the heart of the old west.
