The villa has a great location directly on the beach. It’s nicely furnished, spacious and airy. We loved the big couch facing the beach. Nice big rooms with views. The pool is big and the surroundings (sun-beds, garden, view etc.) is very nice and well kept. In the morning there were clean beach towels at the pool. Good air conditioning in the rooms. The ocean in front of the villa was rough, not recommended for swimming, unless you’re a good swimmer. But the beach was nice for playing, walks and in the morning the fishermen took their nets up by hand, right in front of the villa. Often we were the only persons on the beach… The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a very nice stay in this villa.

Wir waren zu dritt in der Villa TiLa und es war wie in einem Hotel nur für uns alleine. Sehr großes Haus in ruhiger Lage an einem fantastischen Strand. Baden im Meer ist zwar nicht möglich, weil die See zu unruhig ist, aber dafür perfekt für Sport und lange Spaziergänge. Das Haus hat einen riesigen Pool. Die größte Besonderheit sind aber die vielen Mitarbeiter, die sich um das Haus und das leibliche Wohl kümmern. Mit dem hauseigenen TukTuk wird man jederzeit überall hin gefahren. Wir haben noch nie in einem Airbnb so viele freundliche Menschen erlebt, wie in der Villa TiLa. Es ist unbeschreiblich und jeden Cent wert!

We/4 adults stayed 12 nights. The location is great (facing the ocean). The pool is huge, very clean, the garden is well maintained (the pool boy/gardener does a great job). The house has spacious rooms, comfy beds and clean bed linen and towels. Shane (the cook) and Malshan (the house boy) as well as their 2 brothers are very kind and did their best to make our stay enjoyable despite a few inconveniences. We found the villa was in a below average state of cleanliness. We asked for bathroom and toilets to be cleaned up and we ended up cleaning two fridges ourselves. There is a construction site adjacent to the villa with workers hammering and drilling. The lack of privacy with workers having a plunging view on us on the sunbeds was a concern. The owner was reactive and arranged for tarps to be put up (although not effective since transparent). We found out at our expense that the manager was not « trustworthy » . The owner took a radical measure. Nothing to worry about for future guest

Villa TiLa surpassed our expectations, the staff were super friendly and hospitable, the house was absolutely massive, airy and spacious, the pool was enormous and the quiet beach was stunning. We used 4 of the 5 bedrooms - all had super cool AC and en-suite bathrooms. All in all, this villa was like having your own privately staffed hotel, all to yourself. We would definitely go back, perhaps with another family next time. Thank you for an amazing stay and perfect introduction to Sri Lanka.

Larissa and Kay are amazing hosts, and Villa TiLa is a beautiful house. We spent a week there, and every day we felt more and more at home. The mornings are beautiful - watching the sunrise on a deserted beach (apart from the lovely fishermen who catch fish and free the accidentally caught turtles) is a treat. The mangroves and palm trees have been beautifully manicured and the swimming pool is just enormous (and deep!). The house is a pleasure to sleep in - the sound of huge crashing waves coupled with comfy beds is a joy we’ll miss. Highly recommend you stay here.
