A really relaxing space, lovely to wake up looking out at the garden, to the sound of birdsong. Nice walk across the road to castle hill, and onto the North downs way in the evening, which we would happily extend as a days walk next time. It was easy to get to see family in Hythe and in Rye, as planned, and superstores and independent shops are an easy drive, if need be. It is a particularly convenient base if using the Channel tunnel. Mary and Mick are very friendly and welcoming. We were provided with a range of breakfast possibilities, lovely bread scones and yummy date loaf. We would be very happy to use the garden room again and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

We stayed for a couple of nights and really enjoyed the space. Set in beautiful garden and delicious baked goods. Will definitely return next time we’re in the area

Mary’s garden room was absolutely incredible and exactly what I was looking for as a peaceful weekend getaway. The view of the garden and hills from the room was stunning, whether it was a sunny day or a rainy night. I also enjoyed taking a walk around the hills, and it was really convenient to have a Tesco within a 25-minute walk. For the rest of the trip, I took a taxi to Dover Castle and the White Cliffs of Dover, which was easy to do. Mary was really friendly, and the food she provided, especially the bread, was delicious. Overall, my stay was extremely comfortable, and I would definitely recommend it.

Mary was very accommodating and responsive. The airbnb was prefect - had everything that we needed and the location was close to everywhere we wanted to visit. Mary also provided us with homemade bakes which was like a cherry on top. Thank you once again for accommodating us.

Mary's Garden Room is a lovely oasis in the country. The location is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by gardens and hills. Mary and Mick are gracious hosts and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. The location is an excellent base for outings to many surrounding points of interest (Canterbury, Dover, Hastings, country walks, and more). Highly recommend!
