Excellent stay! Groceries and gas within a 15-20 minute drive. Golf courses around and some excellent restaurants! The people, AMAZING!! So friendly!

A lovely weekend! We enjoyed our stay off the beaten path. The house is older but fairly well equipped with what you need for a weekend. Be sure to pack what you need for your trip, including getting gas, since the nearest grocery store is about 45 minutes away! The house was clean and access was easy with a code. We would stay again for another quiet weekend away!

This is a decent size house for the age with two nice sun rooms that I really enjoyed using. There is an Apple TV in the living room with a big screen and the internet worked great for us. It's an older country style home but in good condition. There's a large heater in the living room that worked well for downstairs. Although, you might want to bring an extra blanket or heavy PJs if you sleep upstairs. The location is about 30-45 minutes from most of the major attractions in the area (Pictured Rocks, Kitch-iti-kipi, Fayette Historic Park, Hiawatha National Forest) so it was a good spot to stay for that. Blocks from the house is a boat ramp into the bay and a river if you like fishing. There's also a walking trail up the road to a scenic viewing platform. There is no driveway but parking in the grass worked fine and the side street has plenty as well. Also, if you have kids there's a playground across the street and it has an old steam locomotive in it really cool to see.
