Great property in an amazing location. Set in a village very close to Eastbourne, Beechy Head, Birling Gap etc. walk around the village and to village green is nice. Great private, landscaped garden of the weather is nice. For the money some luxury touches would be nice and there might be a few kitchen essentials missing. Overall we had a lovely stay.

We had a great stay at Clement's place. It's a beautiful and comfortable cottage - we found everything we needed there! We were lucky with the weather in February and loved being out on the garden and enjoyed the views of the rolling hills full of sheep. East Dean is a very cute little village - we had fun trips (just 10 min on foot from the cottage) to the local tea rooms and the pub. There is also a deli and a Thai restaurant. The little convenience store was very useful too. The beautiful coast is just a short drive away (or a longer hike but we did not attempt that). We never met Clement but he and the house manager were very friendly and helpful, and would respond to our messages quickly. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and recommend this place unhesitatingly.

The photos of this place don’t do it justice - it’s beautiful. Light, spacious, airy, peaceful. It’s wonderfully located - you can walk from the house and yet v close (drive) to eastbourne. There’s the friendliest cat ever in the house - my children wanted to adopt them! Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Lovely long weekend away with my family visiting from abroad. We loved the cozy cottage, the location to the coast and the fresh air! The cottage has plenty of space, the garden is beautiful. Check in was very flexible and understanding as we arrived later than expected. We also loved the little cat coming and paying us a visit now and then! All in all would definitely recommend.
