A lovely cosy cottage with a great quiet location and beautiful vista to look out to. We enjoyed our stay and the location is private but only minutes to the closest village. Comfortable beds and just an easy stay. Hazel was a great host and very responsive to communication. we would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Hazels place was ideal for what we were looking for on this trip. We had plenty of space and everything we needed was there. If you think you’ll need wee things like tin foil for cooking, you’ll need to take them. The house has some wear and tear which for us meant we felt relaxed about doing muddy walks and being quite chilled so it was what we needed. That does mean it’s lacking in some of the small touches you might be looking for in a more romantic or special trip. Wanlockhead is a cool wee place with a lot of history and interesting landscape. Hazel was super helpful and friendly and we had a fantastic stay - thanks hazel! We would be delighted to visit again in the future.
